Weed Control
Weeds win when the lawn is thin and the soil is exposed, so weed control is really two jobs: knocking down the weeds you have, and thickening the turf so they have nowhere to come back. We start with a pre-emergent application in early spring that stops crabgrass and other annuals before they germinate.
Every Weed Control job includes:
- Spring pre-emergent for crabgrass and annual weeds
- Spot-treatment of broadleaf weeds (dandelion, clover, plantain)
- Selective products that leave your turf untouched
- Blanket treatments where pressure is heavy
- Property posting per Massachusetts pesticide regulations
- Treatment log with product, rate, and date
- Recommendations on mow height and watering to suppress regrowth
- Pre Emergent
- applied early spring

- crabgrass, dandelion, clover, plantain, ground ivy

Common Questions
Will weed control kill my grass?
No — the products we use are selective for broadleaf weeds and leave cool-season turf unharmed when applied at label rates.
Is it safe for pets and kids?
Once the application has dried (typically 1–2 hours), normal use is fine. We post the property at every treatment.
Do you offer organic-only options?
Yes. Organic programs rely more heavily on pre-emergents, corn gluten, and density-building feedings, and they take longer to show results — but they work.
How long before I see weeds die back?
Most broadleaf weeds visibly curl within 3–5 days of treatment and are gone in 10–14 days. Pre-emergents prevent rather than kill, so you simply see fewer weeds emerge.
